Remsen man arrested for attempted murder

SIOUX CITY — Francisco J. Tapia, 25, of Remsen, was arrested and booked into the Woodbury County Jail for attempted murder, willful injury causing serious injury, assault while participating in a felony, going armed with intent, possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespassing and criminal mischief.
The arrest follows a stabbing which took place around 6 a.m., Saturday, in the 2700 block of Floyd Boulevard. The victim, who’s name has not been released, was treated for life-threatening injuries after suffering multiple stab wounds according to the Sioux City Police Department.
Tapia was found at 9:55 a.m., in the 1500 block of 23rd Street, where he was arrested.
