Hurt takes runner-up spot for Le Mars at MRAC golf meet
SIOUX CITY — Le Mars Community golfer Dani Hurt finished as the individual runner-up at the Missouri River Activities Conference meet held at Floyd Park Golf Course on Tuesday.
Hurt ended with a 78 across the 18 holes which was five strokes behind the individual medalist round from Bishop Heelan’s Anna Fenton. The win helped the Crusaders to a team title with a 343 team score.
Hurt shot a 41 on the front nine as she had two even-par holes on that nine. She scored a 37 on the second nine where she matched par on four of the holes.
Le Mars finished fifth of the eight teams as they ended with a 388 team score.
Taylor Mackey had the second Le Mars score with a 101. She matched par on a pair of par-3 holes on the day while finishing with splits of 50 and 51 on the two sets of nine.
Averie Morgan provided the team’s third score with a 104. She shot a 59 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine.
Jada Plueger was a stroke behind with a 105 on the course. She shot a 54 on the first nine and a 51 on the second nine.
The team didn’t use the scores of 114 from Kenzi Pippett and 122 from Kelsey Feuerhelm. Pippett finished with splits of 60 and 54 while Feuerhelm shot a 66 on the first nine and a 56 on the second nine.
