K-P boys golf competes in two meets

MOVILLE ó The Kingsley-Pierson boys golf team earned a win over several other teams at The Meadows Country Club on Tuesday. While competing against conference schools, the meet was not an official Western Valley Conference counting contest.

Emerson Pratt was the runner-up medalist as the K-P golfer shot a 41 for the day. That matched West Mononaís Owen Collison and was just a stroke behind Ridge Viewís Aiden Martin for best on the day.

Jake Utesch and Beau Bubke followed close behind the top golfers with matching 42 scorecards. Vincent Koelling shot a 46 to complete the team score for the Panthers.

Colton Kurtz (52) and Zach Korynta (54) were the teamís other two golfers on the day.

Team scores: Kingsley-Pierson 171, West Monona 177, Westwood 177, Ridge View 183, Woodbury Central 186, MVAOCOU 202.

Panthers second at Onawa

ONAWA ó The Kingsley-Pierson boys golf team finished second out of five teams at the West Monona Open held at the Onawa Country Club on Thursday.

The Panthers shot a 169 which placed them second, trailing only the host West Monona team which ended the day with a 162 team score.

The Spartans had the overall medalist of the day as Owen Collison finished with a 35. Emerson Pratt was runner-up with a 38 score for the best score for the Panthers. K-Pís Vincent Koelling ended with a 40 for the next score. Jake Utesch finished with a 42 for the teamís third score and Beau Bubke rounded out the top four counting scores for the team with a 49.

Scores which did not go towards the team score were a 52 from Colton Kurtz and a 54 form Tyler Orzechowski.

Team scores: West Monona 162, Kingsley-Pierson 169, Woodbury Central 175, River Valley 194, MVAOCOU 196.
