Le Mars hosts golf triangular
LE MARS ó The Le Mars Community girls golf team hosted Bishop Heelan and Sioux City West in a Missouri River Activities Conference triangular on Thursday at Willow Creek Golf Course.
Bishop Heelan came away with the top score of the day with a 212 as they were led by overall medalist Anna Fenton who shot a 44.
Runner-up for the day was Dani Hurt of Le Mars. She had a nine hole score of 49.
Heelanís Madi Cramer (51) and Alyssa Schorg (54) were next on the leaderboard.
Le Mars followed with a pair of 58 tallies from Taylor Mackey and Jada Plueger. Kelsey Feuerhelm shot the last score the Bulldogs used in their team score with a 69 as the final team score for Le Mars was a 234. The teamís other two scores were a 72 from Kenzi Pippett and a 78 from Averie Morgan.
West was led by a pair of 62 scores from Briana Delagarza and Kennice Mayden as the Wolverines finished with a team score of 262.
Le Mars finishes 5-2 in MRAC competition this spring. The team will compete in the conference tournament on Tuesday.
