Remsen's Annual Kids Days June 18-19

Thursday, June 10, 2021

After being canceled last year due to COVID-19, Remsen’s Annual Kids Days, sponsored by the Remsen Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Fri., June 18, and Sat., June 19, 2021.

Advance ticket sales for the carnival rides are now available at American Bank, Iowa State Bank, and Remsen City Hall. Advance tickets can be purchased for $5.00 per sheet until Friday, June 18 at noon.

Food stands on Main Street will be open both days, starting at 11 a.m.

Carnival rides will start at approximately 3 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

A Family Magic Show by Magician Jonathan May will take place on Main Street on Saturday, June 19, from 5-6 p.m., with free balloon animals afterwards. Make sure to bring your our lawn chairs. This is a free event and is sponsored by the Remsen Public Library.

The Bingo Booth, which will be located on the north side of the KC Food Stand, will be open both nights from 6 - 8 p.m. This event is co-sponsored by the Remsen Chamber and the Remsen Lions Club.

For the past few years, Kids Days has been held on a Monday and Tuesday, but this year, the days have moved to Friday and Saturday. Remsen Chamber Treasurer Jamie Krienert explained the decision to move the days of Kids Days, “Dean McDermott informed the Chamber that due to COVID-19, they would not be traveling out of Iowa this summer. That presented a great opportunity for the Chamber to move Kids Days to the weekend. There are a lot of ball games on Monday and Tuesday nights, so we expect a bigger turn out for the event this year. 2020 was a hard year with COVID-19. We are really looking forward to holding the event for the kids and giving our businesses a little extra foot traffic!”

You won't want to miss out on all the fun! Be sure to stop by on June 18 and 19!
