Life is better with ice cream

(Sentinel Photos by Kim Fickett and Joshua Krause) Following a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ice Cream Days was once again celebrated in Le Mars. Thousands of spectators lined Central Avenue to catch a glimpse of the many parade entries and enjoy some free ice cream treats, as children of all ages filled their bags with candy and parade souveniers. Following the parade, attendees ventured downtown to browse the Merchant Market and enjoy the many family-friendly activities that filled Olson Cultural Event Center and O’Toole Park.
