Friends of Le Mars Public Library to host author event
LE MARS — Friends of the Le Mars Public Library will be hosting author Tirzah Price at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at the Wells Ice Cream Parlor and Visitor Center.
Tirzah Price will discuss her experiences as an author as well as her popular teen series, the Jane Austen Murder Mysteries.
Currently this series has two published titles, “Pride & Premeditation,” and “Sense & Second-degree Murder.” Both titles are available at the Le Mars Public Library, and as eBooks or as audio downloads on the library’s Libby app.
According to School Library Journal, her first book, “…is a clever, twisting murder mystery adaptation that will keep both Austen fans and newcomers on their toes,” and her second title is, “A delightful reimagining of a classic that will be enjoyed by Jane Austen fans and mystery readers alike.” A third title in the series, “Manslaughter Park” is scheduled to be released June 27, 2023.
Tirzah, who currently lives in northwest Iowa, grew up on a farm in Michigan, where she read every book she could get her hands on and never outgrew her love for YA fiction. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She has worked as a bookseller and librarian and is currently a contributing editor at Book Riot.
This event is made possible by the Friends of the Le Mars Public Library and is offered free to the community, no reservation/registration required. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
