Chamber Bowling night delivers fun for participating businesses
The Remsen Chamber of Commerce held their annual bowling night on Sat., March 4, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Maple Lanes Bowl in Remsen. Participating businesses bowled in three games of nine-pin bowling, which was flighted. Following the games, everyone enjoyed a great meal of french dip sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, and lettuce salad provided by Mrs. B’s.
Seventeen two-person teams took part in the Chamber Bowling night. Those teams were the following: American Bank (Kelsi and Dusty Pick), Arens Lawn Care (two teams: Regi Arens and Neal Loutsch, and Katie Arens and Megan Wurth), Beer City (Jayden Wurth and Andrew Pottebaum), Carl’s Body Shop (two teams: Ben Allen and Jared Wurth, and Shannan Allen and Makenzie Pottebaum), Clear Water Bay (Mollie Klein and Sarah Haverkamp), Connor’s Lounge (Greg Weiler and Joe Peters), Feeck Crop/Krier Insurance (Matt Loutsch and Chuck Wurth), Golden Pheasant (Brody Ricke and Derrick Schorg), Iowa State Bank (Ashley and Joe Schuttpelz), Maple Lanes Bowl (four teams: Matt Wurth and Kenny Klein, Cory Jaminet and Jeremy Jaminet, Alex Hagert and Chad Ralston, and Kali Berkenpas and Ralph Koenck), Remsen Farmers Coop (Brad Roling and Chad Pratt), and WesTel Systems (Kristine and Joe Mohning).
First place winners of the four flights were the following: First flight, Matt Loutsch and Chuck Wurth (Feeck Crop/Krier Insurance); Second flight, Cory Jaminet and Jeremy Jaminet (Maple Lanes Bowl); Third flight, Katie Arens and Megan Wurth (Arens Lawn Care); and Fourth flight, Joe and Ashley Schuttpelz (Iowa State Bank). The winners received cash prizes.
