RSMís Homan makes Class 1A All-Tournament Team
DES MOINES ó After recording a pair of double-doubles at the state tournament for Remsen St. Maryís, Collin Homan was named to the Class 1A All-Tournament Team. The team was announced after the 1A championship game on Friday which was won by Grand View Christian by a 63-46 score over North Linn.
Homan had 17 points and 16 rebounds in RSMís state quarterfinal win over Gladbrook-Reinbeck. He also had three assists and a block in that game. In the semifinal round game, Homan finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Homan finished with 12 total offensive rebounds which tied for most in the tournament.
The other semifinalist player on the team was Sage Evans of West Harrison. He had 17 points and nine rebounds in the semifinals along with three steals and two assists. He ended with 11 points and 21 rebounds in the quarterfinal game. He added two steals and four assists.
The remaining members of the team came from the two championship squads. From North Linn, Mason Bechen and Tate Haughenbury were selected. The two averaged 14.7 points per game across the three games. Haughenbury led the tournament with 12 assists in the three games.
From the state championship Grand View Christian team, Daniel Tobiloba and Josh Sanderson were selected. Sanderson was named the captain of the team after averaging 24.3 points per game throughout the tournament. His 73 total points was 29 more than the next-best in the tournament.
Tobiloba made 11-of-16 shots during the tournament and led the way with 37 rebounds during the three games.
