RSM wins pair over Harris-Lake Park
LAKE PARK ó Remsen St. Maryís won a pair of games over Harris-Lake Park in War Eagle Conference action Friday.
The Class 1A No. 4 ranked RSM girls won their game by a 79-41 final score.
Carmindee Ricke was the leading scorer for the Hawks with 21 points. She added a team-high seven assists and six steals. She had the teamís only blocked shot and was second on the team with seven rebounds.
Claire Schroeder added 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Whitney Jensen was the teamís third player in double digits with 11 points. She added five rebounds and four assists.
Mya Bunkers led the team with eight rebounds while scoring nine points. She added four assists and four steals.
Payton Reimers was the top scorer for Harris-Lake Park with 17 points. Kelsey Ehret added 11 points.
It was the fifth win in a row in the series for the Hawks. The team improved to 11-1 overall with the win and 5-1 in the conference.
The Class 1A No. 5 ranked RSM boys came away with a 46-35 win over Harris-Lake Park. The team trailed by two at halftime before they began to pull away in the second half and reached a double digit final margin of victory.
Four players had all of the points for the Hawks. Cael Ortmann led the team with 16 points which included makes on all three of his attempts from 3-point range. He was the teamís leader with seven rebounds and was one of three players with three assists.
Ryan Willman added 14 points while pulling down six rebounds. He finished with three assists, two blocks and a steal.
Jaxon Bunkers was the third in double digits with 11 points. He added six rebounds and three assists.
Collin Homan rounded out the scoring with five points. He had two blocks and the same number of rebounds and assists.
Tyce Gunderson led the Wolves with 16 points and nine rebounds. Justus Voss had eight points and six boards.
The Hawks have won the last 11 games in the series. The Hawks improved to 5-0 in the conference and 8-1 overall with the win.
