K-P takes two from Lawton-Bronson

LAWTON ó The Kingsley-Pierson basketball teams swept their games from Lawton-Bronson in Western Valley Conference action Tuesday.

The K-P girls escaped with a 47-45 win when the teams met up earlier this season. The Panthers had a bit more breathing room in this one, winning 52-39.

Sydney Doeschot led the Panthers with 26 points and six rebounds. She was 12-of-19 shooting from the field.

Allison Reinking followed with seven points and five rebounds. Makenna Bowman and Avery Schroeder added five points apiece. Schroeder led the team with five assists while Bowman led the team with three steals.

Quin Roan led the Eagles with 10 points and nine rebounds followed by Brooklyn Roderís nine points and seven boards.

The Panthers have won 12 straight in the series. K-P improved to 5-1 in the conference and 9-4 overall. Lawton-Bronson fell to 2-4 in the conference and 4-7 overall.

The K-P boys picked up a 50-27 road win.

Conner Beelner was the top scorer with 13 points. Boston Doeschot joined him in double figures with 11 points. Evan Neumann added nine points while Landon Howe finished with eight.

Beau Goodwin led the team with four assists while scoring five points. Derek Reinking had a team-high seven rebounds and the only block while chipping in four points.

K-P has won the last six meetings in the series. The Panthers improved to 8-4 overall and 5-1 in the conference. Lawton-Bronson fell to 2-8 overall and 1-6 in league play.
