The family of Robert and Joan Powell has been blessed with parents that have been married 70 years. The couple was married at Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen, on Dec. 23, 1952.

The family includes Steve (Kay) Powell of Le Mars, Arnold (Kim) of Cape Coral, Florida, Gary (Laurie) of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and Jolene of Fremont, Nebraska. The couple have seven grandchildren, one deceased, and one great-grandchild.
