Popcorn balls for Pioneer Village Christmas
LE MARS — Members of the Kiwanis Club and Kiwanis Aktion Club gathered together at the American Legion Hall in Le Mars on Nov. 30 to make popcorn balls to be handed out at the Pioneer Village Christmas Wonderland.
The clubs hand out the popcorn balls in Century Hall at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds.
“We had a great turnout and a lot of fun making the popcorn balls,” said Kiwanis member Barb Hames.

Joining the Kiwanis and Aktion Club members were spouses, Pride Group employees and the Nebraska-Iowa Division 5 Lt. Governor.
The clubs made approximately 1,500 popcorn balls in about two hours.
These popcorn balls were handed out at Pioneer Village Christmas Wonderland on Saturday and Sunday nights, Dec. 3 and 4, and will be handed out Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 and 11.

Hames gave a big thank you to the American Legion for letting the members use their hall, as well as to Fareway and Hy-Vee for allowing them to use their saran wrap machines.
