‘Shop for a Cause’ through Saturday
By Beverly Van Buskirk
LE MARS — Shop for a Cause kicked off holiday shopping in Le Mars on Monday, and continues through Saturday, Nov. 19,
“We have 23 businesses taking part in the promotion and they have some great deals,” said Lori French, Chamber/Main Street Director.
Shoppers will need to purchase a card for $5 to obtain discounts offered by the participating merchants. Cards are available at each store.
The money from the card purchase will go to three non-profits in Le Mars: CAASA, Wet Nose Animal Rescue and the Christian Needs Center.
“So let’s shop local and help some great organizations out as well,” French said.
She also encourages everyone to check out the beautifully decorated windows of Le Mars merchants who participated in the window contest. Those winners will be announced at Christmas in Hometown Le Mars.
“I can tell you the judges had a very hard time, and I am so glad it was someone else making the decision. They are fantastic,” she said.
French added next week Saturday, Nov. 26, is Christmas in Hometown Le Mars and encourages everyone to check out the many activities planned.
