BRONSON — After a successful inaugural spring fashion show in Hinton, Babes Unite will be hosting a fall event for women with the theme, “Fall into Fashion.”

“For the spring show we sold out of the event with over 180 attendees so we added an additional show,” said Sara Pippett of Bad Habit Boutique, one of the small businesses helping to organize the event. “We had so many attendees message for it again, and with the huge success we decided to do it again for fall. We really love being able to support women in business as well as bring a fun event to the Siouxland area.”

The fall event will be held at the Lofted View in Bronson on Oct. 14 and 15. The Friday night show will be at 7 p.m. and the Saturday show will be at 4 p.m. Pop up shops will open after the fashion show each day.

Tickets for the event went on sale on Sept. 1 with early bird pricing available if purchased by Sept. 20. VIP and general admission tickets are available.

“We will have different ticket amounts,” Pippett said. “We will have VIP, General Admission and VIP Group tickets. Tickets start at $40 to $73.”

VIP access provides access to the official kickoff prior to the show, front row reserved seating, a swag bag with gifts from each boutique and other perks.

Several boutiques and other related shops will be included in the event. The five boutiques are Bad Habit Boutique in Le Mars, Graceful Boutique & Co. of Mapleton, ITK of Wayne, Nebraska, Bizzy Boutique of Ames and Gypsy Soul Boutique of Sergeant Bluff.

“Then we will also have other businesses such as Food, more Food, House of Colour, who helps you find your color palette, and Glam Events who is a party decor business,” Pippett said.

Pippett said a lack of similar events in the area led to the idea for Babes Unite.

“Fashion events lack in the Siouxland area,” Pippett said. “I love that Omaha has Fashion Week and wanted to bring something to Sioux City with fashion, get people excited about local fashion in the Siouxland area. There really is nothing like this in Siouxland and I really wanted to showcase local boutiques around the area. Plus it’s always fun getting together. I feel that sometimes us moms are so busy doing all the things we really do not get a day a day to ourselves. So this day is considered a Moms Day Out.”

Along with the fashion show and shopping, light snacks, wine tasting, a charcuterie board and desserts will be available for attendees. DJ ReRe will also provide musical entertainment.

Pippett said it will be a fun event for women to attend.

“I encourage you to take the day and hang out with friends, have fun watching the fashion show and shopping,” Pippett said.
