RSM beats H-LP in straight sets
REMSEN — The Remsen St. Mary’s volleyball team swept Harris-Lake Park in War Eagle Conference action Thursday. The Hawks won by set scores of 25-10, 25-9 and 25-15.
Mya Bunkers led the team with eight kills as she hit for a .615 efficiency. She added 11 assists from her setter role.
Whitney Jensen ended with six kills while Carmindee Ricke and Tessa Tentinger had four kills apiece.
The Hawks served well with 21 aces in the match as seven different players recorded an ace serve. Jensen led the team with six aces while Bunkers was next with five.
Olivia Pottebaum picked up aces in all three of her attempts. Halle Galles, Gracyn Schroeder and Ricke all finished with two apiece while Marina Cronin added the other.
The Wolves did have four ace serves of their own, but were held to just nine total kills. Brooke Nicks led the Wolves with three kills.
Remsen St. Mary’s has won the last four meetings in the series. The Hawks improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The Wolves fell to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
