Wells part of Vision to Vitality panel
DES MOINES — The Iowa Business Council (IBC) will hold a Vision to Vitality forum with northwest Iowa area business leaders from 10-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, at the Wells Ice Cream Parlor in Le Mars.
The forum will be cohosted by Wells Enterprises CEO and Chief Engagement Officer Mike Wells.
The Vision to Vitality forum will discuss cultivating the workforce pipeline and proactive steps leaders can take to grow thriving communities that attract and retain talent.
Wells will give an update on Wells Enterprises workforce and community advancement efforts. IBC Executive Director Joe Murphy will follow with a presentation of the IBC’s annual Competitive Dashboard, which benchmarks Iowa against the rest of the country on a number of important economic indicators.
After his presentation, a panel will be convened with local leaders. Panelists for the Le Mars Vision to Vitality event include: Rob Bixenman, mayor, City of Le Mars; Barbara DenHerder, CEO, Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce; Brandon Huisman, vice president for enrollment and marketing, Dordt University; Mike Wells, CEO and chief engagement officers, Wells Enterprises; and Dustin Wright, CEO, Floyd Valley Healthcare.
The Vision to Vitality forum will conclude with an audience Q&A. Panelist comments and audience feedback is used to help instruct Iowa Business Council policy and priority initiatives.
Vision to Vitality forums are held across the state to produce candid discussions between IBC members and local community leaders about Iowa’s economy and best practices for future growth. Ultimately, these efforts foster statewide collaboration and strengthen Iowa businesses.
