Le Mars girls first, boys second at MRAC bowling meet
LE MARS — The Le Mars Community bowling teams competed at the Missouri River Activities Conference tournament at Sweet 16 Lanes Monday with the girls team claiming the conference title. The boys team finished as the runner-up.
The Lady Bulldogs scored 2,961 points in their win, easily topping the rest of the field which saw runner-up Sioux City North finish with a 2,158 score. Le Mars has won the girls championship in both of their years in the league.
The team had the top five individual scores at the event with Olivia Schiefen posting the top series score of the day with a 428. Her series included game scores of 217 and 211.
