Le Mars golf finishes mid-pack at Fort Dodge
FORT DODGE — The Le Mars Community boys golf team finished in the middle of the pack at the Fort Dodge Invitational held Tuesday. The Bulldogs were eighth of 17 teams in attendance at the Fort Dodge Country Club.
Le Mars shot a 340 team score which was better than all but one of the MRAC teams in attendance. Sioux City East had the top score of an MRAC school with a 320 as they were fourth. Ankeny won the meet with a 292 team score and had three of the top five individuals including medalist Hunter Johnson who shot a one-under 70, and Corbin Walker who was runner-up with a one-over 72.
Le Mars had three individuals shoot identical scores of 84 on the course. Cameron Daggett finished with a 44 on the front nine and a 40 on the second nine. Spencer Mackey and Dylan Susemihl matched with 41s on their first round and 43s on their second. Ben Hoss rounded out the team scoring with an 88 on nine-hole scores of 43 and 45.
Le Mars will return to action Thursday with a conference meet against Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson and Sioux City North at Dodge Riverside Golf Course in Council Bluffs.
