Plymouth County sees first death
PLYMOUTH CO. — The online dashboard at coronavirus.iowa.gov reports the first death of a Plymouth County resident from COVID-19.
The individual was an elderly (81-plus) male according to Tara Geddes, community health manager at Floyd Valley Healthcare.
The death is one of 466 reported from across the state.
Woodbury County with 24 deaths and Crawford County with two deaths are the only other northwest Iowa counties currently reporting deaths.
Plymouth County has reported 118 total positive cases out of 994 individuals tested. Of the positive cases in the county, 71 have recovered.
