PLYMOUTH CO. — There are some changes being implemented by the Plymouth County Solid Waste Agency in response to the coronvirus pandemic.

The Plymouth County Solid Waste Agency will not be taking TVs, appliances, tires and hazardous waste at the current time.

“We are trying to limit the exposure to cash paying customers. If it is an emergency please call 712-546-6071,” Kent Herbold, landfill manager said.

The landfill is still open to the public, contractors and private haulers for C & D material, household waste, trees, yard waste, metal and concrete.

“We have the ability to communicate through the intercom system to limit exposure to handle the customers needs,” Herbold said.

Individuals and haulers coming into the landfill are asked have all the information employees will need, including name, address and phone number. The scale tickets will be emailed to the haulers. “We will notify everyone when the landfill will be back to normal operations,” Herbold said.
