Al Loutsch was this yearís Volunteer of the Year for Remsen St. Maryís Catholic Schools.

Al is a 1973 RSM graduate. His love for Remsen St. Maryís is beyond measure. He is the oldest child of his family and has two brothers and three sisters. All his siblings are graduates from RSM.

Some of the Alís volunteer activities that he has participated in throughout the years include serving on the school board for many years and now serving on the new parish council group. He has spent many hours at games announcing baseball, basketball, and football as well. Al has helped out being a host and ticket seller for Remsen St. Maryís Ball. He is currently a lector and a Eucharistic Minister for the parish and three years ago we were remodeling at the high school, Al was never afraid to give a helping hand by donating hours of work. In addition to that Al also donates many hours driving bus and consistently helps out when the school is in need of a bus driver especially on the zero days to transport the younger students from grade school to the high school for lunch. Al will tell you that he enjoys the smiling faces of all the grade school kids when they walk on the bus and all the thank youís when the kids get off the bus.

Al and Linda have two children - Amy, who is a 1996 graduate, and Rick, who graduated in 1999. Amy currently lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, with her husband, Matt, and their two kids, Isaac and Eli. Rick lives on the family farm with his wife, Courtney, and their two kids, McKenna, who is an eighth grader at RSM, and Micha, who is a sixth grader at RSM.

Congratulations, Al, for being selected as the RSM Volunteer of the Year for 2020!
