KC's host Annual Free Throw Contest

The Annual Free Throw Contest, sponsored by the Remsen Knights of Columbus, was held at St. Mary’s High School Gymnasium, on Sunday, January 12, 2020. Twenty-five participants, ages 9-14, shot 15 free throws. Medals were awarded for the first, second, and third most shots in each age group for boys' and for girls' divisions.

Results from the day were as follows:

Nine-year-old girls: Chloe Homan (first place), Breeana Sheehan (second place), Allisyn Garvin (third place).

Nine year-old boys: Jayze Bunkers (first place), Mick Schnepf (second place), Lucas Sheehan (third place).

Ten-year-old girls: Halle Bunkers (first place), Brielle Schorg (second place).

Ten-year-old boys: Dalton Klein (first place), Tyten Waldschmitt (second place), Cooper Loutsch (third place).

Eleven-year-old girls: No one competed in this group.

Eleven-year-old boys: Gavin Poeckes (first place).

Twelve-year-old girls: Josie Schwickerath (first place), Grace Galles (second place), Madelyn Kelly (third place).

Twelve-year-old boys: Parker Loutsch (first place), Collin Homan (second place), Brayson Mulder (third place).

Thirteen-year-old girls: Whitney Jensen (first place).

Thirteen-year-old boys: Landon Waldschmitt (first place).

Fourteen-year-old girls: Mya Bunkers (first place).

Fourteen-year-old boys: Mitchell Schnepf (first place).

The first place finishers move on to compete in the next round, which will be held in Cherokee at the Cherokee Middle School on February 9. Registration will start at 12:30 p.m., with the competition beginning at 1 p.m.
