On Wednesday, September 4, Remsen St. Mary’s held its Opening School Mass. Students, faculty and families gathered together at the church to celebrate the beginning of the new school year. This was the first school Mass in the newly painted St. Mary's Church.

After Mass, new students and faculty were recognized. New principals Patty Lansink and Ron Olberding spoke about the great things they have already experienced about RSM. The seniors presented the kindergarteners with t-shirts to welcome them to the school family.

Afterwards everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and supper sponsored by the school board. It was a nice evening to enjoy some fellowship and start out the school year.
