Ten compete in Happy Siesta’s Chili Cook-Off

Ten chefs competed in the Third Annual Soup/Chili Cook-Off, which took place on Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 4-7 p.m. at the V.F.W. Hall. Happy Siesta Health Care Center hosted the event and all of the proceeds raised will benefit the Happy Siesta DREAMS Program.

Guests of the Cook-Off received their ten samples and then voted on which recipe they liked the best.

First place winner was Lori Spenner with her Outback Potato Soup recipe. Second place winner was Beth Gergen with her Ham Chowder recipe. Third place winner was Terri Slota.

Winner of the Smart T.V. was Phil Britton. Sammy Grosenheider sold the most raffle tickets for the T.V., and the drawing was done by her son, Drake Grosenheider.

Happy Siesta would like to thank all the talented chefs who did such a fabulous job of putting out a wide variety of delicious soups and chili for the event.
