Oetken named a finalist
PLYMOUTH CO. — Attorney Amy Oetken of Le Mars has been named one of the three final candidates to fill the vacancy created by the upcoming retirement of District Associate Judge Robert Dull.
Oetken is currently a practicing attorney with the Plymouth County Attorney’s office.
Interviews were held Monday, Nov. 26, by the Plymouth and Sioux County Judicial Nominating commissions.
Following those interviews and a joint meeting, Oetken, as well as Attorney Kristal L. Phillips of Holstein, and Attorney Dan Vakulskas of Sioux City, were named as the final considerations for the judgeship.
Judicial Sub-District 3B consists of Crawford, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, Sioux and Woodbury counties.
Interviews of the three nominees will be held Friday, Nov. 30, by the 3B District Court Judges.
