Cross Country runners compete at Okoboji Invitational

MILFORD — MMCRU and RSM cross country runners competed at the Okoboji XC Invitational at Woodlyn Hills Golf Course on Thursday, August 30.

MMCRU was represented by a pair of runners in the race. Robert Russell finished 31st in a time of 19:44.46 and Brett Staab was 10 places behind him with a time of 20:38.25.

MMCRU’s Kaitlyn Goth finished sixth overall with a time of 23:04.26 as the only representative from her team. She was about a minute and a half back of winner Magan Christopherson of Okoboji who finished in 21:32.73.

Remsen St. Mary’s had a pair of representatives on the course. Olivia Schroeder finished 23rd overall with a time of 24:41.15. Kelsey Behrens ended 63rd in a time of 31:50.63.

In the junior high boys two mile run, MMCRU had three of the top four individuals with Owen Alesch winning the race in a time of 12:56.93.
