Zachary DeLarm, 24, of Le Mars, died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at his residence in Le Mars.
Zachary Montana DeLarm was born Feb. 15, 1994, in Marshall, Missouri, the son of Timothy and Michelle (Roder) DeLarm. Their family returned to Le Mars in 2001.
Zach attended Kissinger Elementary School in Merrill and graduated in 2013 from Le Mars Community High School. Throughout high school Zach worked at Mr. P's Pizza in Le Mars, along with his sister and younger brother.
Following graduation, he attended Western Iowa Technical College in Sioux City and received a degree in welding.
For the last four years, he was employed by Sioux Automation in Sioux Center.
He was a member of All Saints Parish - St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. He also was an Eagle Scout.
Zach enjoyed fishing, hunting, being with friends and family, and riding his Harley.
Zach was a kind and gentle soul. He was a friend to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include his parents: Tim and Michelle DeLarm of Le Mars; two brothers: Clint DeLarm of Boone, and Joshua (Miranda Brown) DeLarm of Boone; a sister: Cassandra (John) Hines of Ames; his maternal grandmother: Marge Roder of Le Mars; his paternal grandparents: Cliff and Deb DeLarm of Monmouth, and Glenn and Andrea Kimmerle of Davenport; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ron Roder.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at All Saints Parish - St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m., today (Friday), at the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, where there will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a scriptural prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
