Kevin Ortmann, a volunteer EMT and fire fighter, and Public Works Superintendent for the City of Remsen, is battling a very aggressive and fast-growing form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma.

A benefit for Kevin and his family will take place on Saturday, May 12 at the *Remsen Avalon Ballroom in Remsen (114 Fulton St.)* from 4-7 p.m. A supper of pork burgers and chips will be available for a free will donation. Silent Auction items will also be available at this time.

A raffle for a 2016 Arctic Cat 700 cc side by side 4x4, tilt wheel, green and black, with 100 miles on it is also taking place. Only 1,500 tickets will be sold. Tickets are $25.00 each and go on sale at the Benefit. Contact a Remsen EMT or Fire Fighter to obtain one. The drawing for this prize will take place on August 3, 2018 at the Hope Angels Dance.
