MMCRU/RSM Keglers attend Regionals
The MMCRU/RSM bowling team attended regionals at Fort Dodge on February 13. The boys were able to get third out of six teams; the girls did rather well too. In the first two games the boys managed to get 1812 pins. In the baker games the boys were able to get 930 pins. The boys’ match total was 2742. In the first two games the girls managed to get 1385 pins. In the baker games the girls were able to get a 652.
Cameron Miller was the highest bowler for MMCRU/RSM with a total of 412 pins. Drew Pierce came in a close second with 395 pins. Mitch Rhodes finished in third with a total of 355 pins, while Ethan Riedemann came in a close fourth with 345 pins. Nathan Reusch had 305 pins, while Cody Dias had 281 pins.
The boys came into the baker games ready to play. The Royals got a good start, ending the first baker game with 179 pins. MMCRU managed to score 156 pins in their second baker game, bringing their baker total up to 335 pins. The Royals had another good game by bowling a 212 in the third baker game, bringing their baker total to 547. MMCRU kept their streak of good games by bowling a 180 in the fourth baker game, bringing their baker total up to 727. The Royals finished strong by bowling a 203 in their final baker game, ending the baker games with a baker total of 930 pins. Out of the six teams that attended the regional meet, the MMCRU/RSM boys managed to get third.
Hailey Klein was the highest bowler for the MMCRU/RSM girls with a total of 372 pins. Megan Wurth came in second with 306 pins, while Bailey Penning finished third with a total of 257 pins. Britney Specht came in a close fourth with 246 pins.
