Boys Basketball Season ends with loss to Jays

The MMCRU Royals traveled to Gehlen Catholic in Le Mars hoping to keep their season alive with a win. Sadly the Royals fell short and lost.

The first half saw the Royals steadily keeping pace with the Jays high scoring offense. The Royals scored 27 points in the first half but gave up 36 points to the Jays. The score at half was 36-27.

In the second half the Royals seemed to lose their footing on offense as they scored only 17 points total. However the Jays put the game away by scoring 31 points. The Royals season ended with the 67-42 loss to the Jays.

Chris Schmid led the Royals in scoring with 18 points. Hunter Tentinger pulled down seven rebounds for the Royals. The Royals on two pointers were 12 of 47, which would be 24%. On three pointers the Royals went 2 of 11 for 18%.
