MMCRU/RSM splits with OA-BCIG
REMSEN — The MMCRU/RSM bowling teams split a pair of close matches with OA-BCIG on Thursday, January 25. The girls won by 103 with a 2,150-2,047 final score.
Hailey Klein had the top series of the day for the team with a 327. That was five better than Megan Wurth. Kaitlin Harey was the third bowler to surpass a 300 series with a score of 319. Wurth had the highest game score of the group with a 187 on her first game.
Jenna Henderson of OA-BCIG had the best overall scores of the day, with a 194 top game and 342 series. MMCRU/RSM held a 90 point lead after the first round of individual games and edged the Falcons by 13 in the Baker games.
The boys team fell just short of their opponent, losing by the slim margin of 39. OA-BCIG outscored the team 2,724-2,685. Overall, MMCRU/RSM had the top two individual scores, but the Falcons had better scores from the rest of their lineup. Cam Miller edged Drew Pierce by one with a 418 series score. Miller had a top game of 248 in his second of the day. Pierce was more consistent across his two games, rolling a 215 followed by a 202 as the only bowler to break 200 in both games.
MMCRU/RSM won the second round of Baker games, but it wasn’t by quite enough to make up the full difference.
