Le Mars bowling picks up wins over MMCRU/RSM
REMSEN — The Le Mars bowling teams continued to add to their win totals with a pair of victories over MMCRU/RSM on Thursday, January 4.
The Lady Bulldogs got a win of nearly 500 as they outscored their opponent 2,641-2,170.
Lexi Schroeder had the top game and series scores on the day as she hit 201 on her second game, 10 better than her first game as she ended with a 392 series.
Hailey Klein of MMCRU/RSM had the next best game and series scores of the day. She rolled a 200 in her first game and ended with a 364 series score.
The boys team faced a challenge as they came away with a margin of victory of 173. The Bulldogs won by a final score of 2,847-2,674.
Riley Augustine had the highest game score of the day with a 226 and also topped Le Mars with his series score of 414. He was the only bowler to end with a score greater than 400 on the team, but he was still edged out in the overall high score as Cam Miller led the way for MMCRU/RSM with a 417. He hit 221 in his first game followed by a 196 to close.
Le Mars led by less than 100 after the first round, but stretched out their margin of victory with a 935-844 advantage in the Baker games.
Le Mars travels to Sioux Central on Thursday, January 11, while MMCRU/RSM will be back at home against West Sioux.
