Terry L. Rounds
Terry L. Rounds, of Le Mars, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at his home in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife, Allison, by his side. In the last few months of his life he battled pancreatic cancer.
Terry was born Sept. 24, 1948. He grew up in Le Mars, graduated from high school there and went to college in Sioux City earning a degree in computers.
He enjoyed a successful career before retiring from his position as a network analyst at the town of Avon in Avon, Colorado.
In retirement he enjoyed traveling, photography, and antiquing throughout the United States with his wife. Terry especially loved visiting the national parks of the southwestern U.S., taking many photos there.
Terry was a loving husband, father, step-father, son, son-in-law, brother-in-law, brother and uncle to his extended family. He will be remembered for his likeable personality and his kindness toward all and willingness to help others, and his amazing technical skills.
He is survived by his wife, Allison; his beloved daughter Jennifer (Beau) John of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren Paige and Zach John who he adored; his step-sons Alex and Tristan Edwards; his step-father Dave Puetz of Le Mars; his sisters: Wanda (Tom) Schroeder, Dorothy (John) Porter; his brothers: Jerry (Joan) Rounds and Ken Rounds; his mother- and father-in-law, Mary and Jim Cornils of Dexter, Michigan; his brothers-in-law Jim, Peter, Patrick, and Steven Cornils; and his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Connie (Bob) King. Terry's mother, Josephine (Rose) Puetz of Le Mars, died shortly after his own death.
