Working as the new Deputy Clerk of Remsen is Courtney Loutsch. She started her first day as Remsen’s Deputy Clerk on October 16, 2017. Before working for the city, she worked at Schuster Company as a Customer Service Representative.

Courtney’s duties as Deputy Clerk include greeting residents, receiving utility payments, answering incoming phone calls, data entry, processing rebates, and applying credits to utility accounts, just to name a few.

Courtney (Bohnenkamp) grew up in Remsen. She graduated from Remsen St. Mary’s High School and then went on to Hawkeye Community College and graduated with a degree in the Executive Assistant Program.

She and her husband, Rick, have been married for 14 years and have two children, McKenna (age 12) and Micah (age 9).

When asked what her hobbies are and what she likes to do in her spare time, Courtney explained that she liked “reading, biking, spending time with family, and going to her children’s extra-curricular activities”.

She enjoys her job so far and is happy to be serving the people of Remsen.
