MMCRU/RSM bowlers edged by OA-BCIG
IDA GROVE — The MMCRU/RSM bowling team dropped a pair of close matches on the road against OA-BCIG on Friday, December 15, as the Falcons won each.
Hailey Klein had the best series score for the team as she rolled a 269 across her two games which were both in the 130s. Britney Specht ended with a 252 score with both of her games in the 120s.
Megan Wurth had the highest game score for the team with a 145, but was third overall on the team with a 249 series.
Bailey Penning ended with a 241 and Victoria Kollbaum rolled a 221 to conclude the counting scores.
The final team score saw the Falcons beat their opponent by a score of 2,097-1,882, a difference of 215.
The boys team won the Baker Rotation round against OA-BCIG, but a first round deficit was too much to overcome.
Drew Pierce led the team with a 390 series score. His 225 first game was the best individual game score by a player on either team.
Ethan Riedemann ended with a 339 for the team while Mitchell Rhodes was 20 pins back of that.
Jake Anderson and Cam Miller each finished right around 300 with Anderson three above and Miller three below that threshold.
The MMCRU/RSM bowling teams return to action after the new year as they host Le Mars Community on Thursday, Jan. 4.
