Western Christian slips by MMCRU Girls

The MMCRU girls' golf team play a non-conference meet on April 4 in Hull against Western Christian.

The meet ended in advantage of the WC girls' golf team, which scored a 220 compared to MMCRU's 238 strokes. Medals for this match were split between the teams. MMCRU's Taylor Schlenger got her second gold medal of the season, while senior Cassie Thomson also did very well and got the silver medal. Third place was taken by Jaycie VanZel from WC, and fourth place by Aubrey Kooima from Western.

MMCRU's JV team ended with 280 strokes. Western Christian's team was incomplete, which meant a win for MMCRU.

Cassie Thomson, senior golfer from MMCRU, said, "Weather was cold, course was hard, but we still did a good job" MMCRU's head coach, Susan Boyd, added, "This was the first time we have ever played the course in Hull. It was challenging, but our team did very well."
