Le Mars bowlers trump OA-BCIG

LE MARS -- The Bulldog bowlers took a pair of wins in a meet with OA-BCIG Monday at the Sweet 16 Lanes.

The boys trumped OA-BCIG by nearly 300 points, with the final score 2584-2300 in the Bulldogs' favor.

The girls also took a nearly 300-point win, leaving OA-BCIG behind 2352-2083.

LCS boys 2584, OA-BCIG 2300

Matt Hystad led the LCS boys with a 391 series for the day, rolling games of 203 and 188. Hystad's 203 was the team's high game.

Brock Hofland followed with a 384 series, scoring 203 and 181 in his two games.

Noah Scheitler rolled a 352 series, with games of 201 and 151.

Andrew Heffner added a 321 series for the 'Dogs, bowling games of 169 and 152.

Gabe Jensen had a 277 series, rolling games of 122 and 155. Dom Castle followed closely with the team's non-counting series, 274, bowling games of 146 and 128.

The Bulldogs scored 859 in the Baker Round to earn the win over OA-BCIG.

LCS girls 2352, OA-BCIG 2083

Katie Pope led the LCS girls with a high series of 354. She bowled games of 195, the team's high game, and 159.

Susie Haack rolled a 338 series with games of 157 and 181 for the Bulldogs.

Caitlin Hughes scored 319, bowling games of 146 and 173.

Danielle Hystad followed with a 314 series, scoring 149 in her first game and 165 in her second.

Jennifer Cook-Howard had a 290 series for LCS, rolling games of 129 and 161.

Colleen Zenk rolled the non-counting series of 270 for LCS, bowling games of 133 and 137.

The LCS girls rolled a Baker Round score of 737 to complete their win.

In the JV games, both LCS boys and girls JV teams claimed first place.
