Catherine Deloris Christeson, daughter of Andrew and Frances Dundon Christeson, was born Oct. 3, 1921, at Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City school system, graduating from Lincoln High.
She attended Iowa Teachers College at Cedar Falls and taught in rural schools in the Webster City area.
On May 9, 1946, she married Warren Edward Laneville at Webster City. The couple resided at Le Mars. In 1956, they moved to Iowa Falls.
Catherine was a homemaker.
Warren died Jan. 22, 2004. She moved to New London in 2011.
Catherine was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church at Iowa Falls.
Mrs. Laneville is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Edward Laneville, of Cottontown, Tenn., Donald and Debbie Laneville, of Medina, Ohio, Daniel and Tammy Laneville, of Gardner, Kan.; daughter and son-in-law, Louise and James Cordes, of New London; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Koolhof of Webster City; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Virginia Kliphouse; a daughter-in-law, Caroline Laneville; sisters, Marie Christeson, in infancy and Margaret Wright; and brothers Dean and Don Christeson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. today (Monday) at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer, celebrant. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation was at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, in Webster City, from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and prior to the Mass on Monday at the church. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:45 p.m. Sunday.
