A training drill for local emergency personnel will be conducted at Le Mars Community Schools Clark Elementary building Wednesday, Jan. 2.
The Le Mars Community School District and local emergency personnel have worked together in a similar manner at various school buildings in the district for a long time, LCS Superintendent Dr. Todd Wendt said in a press release.
More than a month before the events in Connecticut on Dec. 14, the Le Mars Police Department had made arrangements to conduct this training drill at Clark on Jan. 2, according to the press release.
This training is important for emergency personnel as they practice their response to various scenarios at different LCS buildings, Wendt said.
The information is being released to the public so the drill is not misunderstood.
There is no school on the day of the drill.
