Odd/even parking and downtown parking to be enforced

Thursday, December 27, 2012

Le Mars residents and visitors are reminded of the city of Le Mars' odd and even parking requirements.

Vehicles need to be parked on the odd-numbered side of the street on odd calendar days and the even-numbered side of the street on even calendar days.

After 6 p.m., people should park their vehicles for the following calendar day.

As an example, on an odd-numbered calendar day, after 6 p.m. vehicles should be parked on the even-numbered side of the street or avenue.

Tickets may be issued to those who violate the odd and even parking requirements when a snow emergency has been declared.

Vehicles parked in downtown areas after 2 a.m. will be towed, according to Le Mars Police.

Signs are posted in the downtown areas where parking restrictions are in place after 2 a.m.
