Santa Claus is making his list and he's checking it twice as he and Mrs. Claus make a stop in Le Mars Saturday.
The jolly couple will be at Habitué Coffeehouse and Creperie, 108 Central Ave N.E., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to visit with children about their Christmas wish list.
According to Mary Reynolds, Le Mars Main Street director, every child who visits will receive a small gift from Santa.
In addition to Saturday's hours, Santa and Mrs. Claus will return to Le Mars Saturday, Dec. 22, for a visit from noon to 4 p.m., also at Habitué, Reynolds said.
"The Little Ambassadors and their parents will be at Habitué both days to help Santa hand out treats," Reynolds said.
The Little Ambassadors are 12 young children, six boys and six girls, who represent the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce at a number of Chamber-sponsored events and other community activities.
"With such a busy schedule, we are so lucky that Santa and Mrs. Claus are making these extra stops after their visit to the Lighted Parade and Pioneer Village earlier this month," Reynolds said.
She added Santa told her he loves coming to Le Mars.
"He loves the lighted trees and the Christmas decorations," Reynolds said. "He also said he loves all the children who come and see him. He definitely likes to know what they want before Christmas."
Reynolds also reminds parents and grandparents to bring their cameras as Santa and Mrs. Claus also enjoy posing for pictures with the children.
Santa's visits are sponsored by the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Le Mars Convention and Visitors Bureau and Habitué Coffeehouse and Creperie.
