Kevin and Ashley Corkery

Ashley Heissel and Kevin Corkery were united in marriage Aug. 25, 2012, at St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines. Deacon Dave Bartemeaus officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony.

Ashley is the daughter of Kevin Heissel, of Le Mars, and Joe and Kristine Van Dam, of Coralville. Kevin is the son of Jeff and Judy Corkery of Peosta.

Carissa Warner, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Megan Corkery, sister of the bridegroom; Crystal Nussbaum, cousin of the bride; and Bre Langel, Julie Dickens, Ashley Cronk and Megan Nuebel.

Flowergirl was Bree Mae Heidesch, cousin of the bride.

Brian Corkery, brother of the bridegroom, was bestman. Serving as groomsmen were Ryan White, cousin of the bridegroom; Karl Warner, brother-in-law of the bride; and Josh Hein, Rick Henley, Kory Tuescher and Roberto Pino.

Ringbearer was Beau Heissel, cousin of the bride.

The reception was held at the Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines.

Ashley graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in Le Mars in 2002, and the University of Iowa in 2006. She received her juris doctorate degree from Drake University Law School. She is a prosecutor for the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force.

Kevin graduated from Tipton High School in 1999, and Loras College in 2003. He is an ITS Sales Consultant for Trapeze Software Group in Cedar Rapids.

The couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

They are at home in Cedar Rapids.
