The driver of an SUV died and two people were injured after the vehicle rolled several times southwest of Remsen Saturday.
The name of the driver and the passengers in a 1998 Ford Explorer are not being released until relatives can be notified, according to Plymouth County Sheriff Mike Van Otterloo.
The accident near the intersection of Polk Avenue and 190th Street was reported to the county communication center with a 911 call at 2:39 p.m. Saturday, a press release from Van Otterloo stated.
The SUV was being driven south on Polk Avenue when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled several times, throwing the driver from the SUV, Van Otterloo reported.
The driver was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after being taken to the hospital by Remsen Ambulance.
The other two individuals were being treated at the hospital, the press release stated.
The sheriff's office was also assisted by the office of Plymouth County Medical Examiner.
The accident investigation information is preliminary, the sheriff said.
