Good Samaritan Society - Le Mars will be celebrating completion of its Phase 3 building addition and renovation project next week.
The public is invited to an open house and a Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the care center.
Phase 3, completed in August, included renovation of the front portion of the building to have the same look and feel as the new additions, according to a press release.
That phase also enabled transformation of the front dining room into a multi-purpose "community room" and the activity room into a "chapel."
Phase 1 of the project included an addition to both the west and east sides of the existing building, transforming hallways into "neighborhoods."
The new additions included more deluxe private suites, two new outside courtyards and separate dining and living room areas in each neighborhood, the press release said.
Phase 2 of the project included renovation of the middle portion of the building to have the same look and feel as the new additions.
"Now that these building enhancements are complete, we are so excited to be able to concentrate more on how these neighborhoods will enable us to build even stronger relationship and provide additional service for our residents," said Karen Mousel, Good Samaritan Society-Le Mars administrator.
The open house and ribbon cutting will be at the care center, 1140 Lincoln St. N.E., Le Mars.
