Some Plymouth County voters will cast their ballots at a new location during Tuesday's General Election.
For example, the Precinct 3 polling place will be the lower level of the courthouse annex building, in Le Mars, as opposed to the Le Mars Public Library.
Precinct 3 includes the city of Struble, all of Elgin Township and America Township excluding census block 191499702002047.
Plymouth County Auditor Stacey Feldman said the polling location changed because the county now has its own building available.
The annex building is just east of the courthouse, at 215 Fourth Ave. S.E., Le Mars.
"It's a good accessible location. It's a large room," Feldman said. "There's adequate parking."
Voters should enter the annex building through the lower level west door on the north end of the building.
The annex building will be the permanent Precinct 3 voting location for future elections, Feldman said.
"It's for primaries, generals, city of Struble elections and countywide special elections," she said.
Repricincting following the 2010 U.S. Census, also changed polling locations for voters in Precinct 2 and Precinct 4.
Those changes -- in effect for the June Republican primary election -- affected Precinct 2 voters on the east side of the county and Precinct 4 voters in the city of Craig.
Rural voters in Meadow, Remsen, Henry and Garfield Townships now vote in the Remsen American Bank.
Those living within Remsen city limits and Kingsley city limits still vote at the Remsen Public Library and the Kingsley Community Center, respectively, Feldman said.
The other voting location change involves Precinct 4 city of Craig voters, who now vote at the Brunsville Legion Club, instead of Craig City Hall.
Precinct 4 also includes all of the city of Brunsville, all of Washington Township, excluding the city of Le Mars, Johnson Oak Street Township, Grant Township and Preston Township Brunsville.
Feldman explained that the changes for Craig voters and those on the east side of the county were effective Jan. 1, 2012.
