The Plymouth County Supervisors Tuesday set a public hearing to consider vacating part of Quarry Road.
That measure is being considered after a county-owned bridge collapsed on the road, east of Kingsley earlier this year.
Prior to the collapse Gene Collins, of Kingsley, had planned to make the bridge into a covered bridge.
The supervisors are considering vacating an about one-quarter-mile section of Quarry Road, west of the bridge.
That means the county would no longer own or maintain that part of the road.
Previously, Tom Rohe, county engineer, said property owners in the area are in support of vacating that portion of the road.
A public hearing on the matter will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 during the supervisors' regular weekly board meeting.
