The city of Le Mars leaf and grass disposal site on Highway 3 West will reopen Tuesday.
The city shutdown the free collection of grass, leaves, twigs and branches on Oct. 12 due to a fire at the free disposal area.
Late Monday morning, Le Mars Assistant City Administrator Bill Cole reported the clean up of the site was almost complete.
"In an effort to get citizens caught up on disposal, we will have the site open and manned Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.," Cole said.
The city will resume regular hours at the site starting Wednesday.
The site will be open from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, weather permitting, according to Cole.
