KINGSLEY -- Kingsley-Pierson lost in three sets to MVAO on Thursday in the team's final volleyball match of the regular season.
MVAO (25-4, 7-0) won the match 25-10, 25-5, 25-17.
"They are a great team," said K-P head coach Sarah Colfack. "We knew it would be a tough night. We did the best we could to do prepare and it just didn't go our way."
Senior libero Megan Meister led the Lady Panthers (7-19, 2-6) in digs with 28.
"Megan Meister did a very good job digging the ball for us," Colfack said.
Amanda Weber also made 15 digs. Weber was tied for the team-high in kills with three. Hanna Seggerman and Lily Peschau also each hit three kills. Lauren Rassel made four assists and Abby Sitzmann made three.
Rachel Mercer hit two aces on 8-for-8 serving. Seggerman, Rassel and Meister each made one ace on 7-for-7, 6-for-6 and 5-for-5 serving, respectively.
K-P will be at home on Tuesday against River Valley (3-29, 0-9) in the first round of play in Class 1A Region 1.
