Steve and Sheila Hoffman, of Westfield, and Tom and Kathy Langel, of Le Mars, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Laura Hoffman, of Westfield and Lucas Langel, of Le Mars. The couple is planning a Dec. 8, 2012, wedding at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellendale, rural Merrill. The reception will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the Le Mars Convention Center.
Denae Bauer, of Kingsley, and Jerrod Plueger, of Le Mars, were united in marriage Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Le Mars. The Rev. Ben Worley officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.

Denae is the daughter of Dave and Pam Dugan, of Kingsley. Jerrod is the son of Scott and Michelle Plueger, of Le Mars.

Providing music for the wedding ceremony were Jane Willer, organist, and Rachel Colfack, soloist.

Maid of honor was Allison Bird, of Kingsley. Bridesmaids were Nicole Plueger, Audrey Bodiford and Rachel Colfack.

Flowergirl was Ella Klemme.

Nick Schlichte, of Le Mars, was best man. Groomsmen were Mike Honkomp, Travis Bauer and Brandon Feller.

Ringbearer was Kent Westhoff.

Seating the wedding guests were Travis Boltman and Isaiah Struble.

The reception was held at 5 p.m. at the Brunsville Legion Hall.

Denae is attending the University of South Dakota studying dental hygiene.

Jerrod is a graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College and is employed with ICON Ag & Turf in Lawton.

The couple took a wedding trip to St. Petersburg, Fla., and is at home in Vermillion, S.D.
